Al Rennick
President

Colleagues, I have been in the Business Continuity industry over 25 years.    The majority of my career was spent in the AT&T family starting disaster recovery programs for the different lines of business.  I was involved with the recovery of the AT&T assets on September 11, 2001 for 2 months.  We actually tested the plan on September 10th.  Everyone did get out!

I retired from AT&T in 2003 and opened my own business and became the President of Disaster Recovery Consultants (DRC), providing solutions for business continuity and service recovery.  I’m happy to say that DRC is successful.

I was very fortunate to be a Charter Member of the ACP Garden State Chapter and it has been a privilege to serve as the chapter President since its inception in February 2005.  The chapters Board of Directors are dedicated to serving the chapter members.   They are creative, talented and out of the box thinkers.  I can’t say enough about them.

The people I have met over the years at symposiums, classes and trade shows and within the ACP are some of the most talented people in our profession.  To this day, we still communicate with each other and get together when traveling to the same place.  They are friend’s for life.

I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University majoring in Electrical Engineering Technology.  I became a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) in 1991.  I’m also a former member of the Disaster Recovery Journal Editorial Advisory Board.

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and meeting people.

Nat Tejo
Public Relations

I am Nat Tejo and I work as a Program Manager in the IT Risk Management department of Carrier Corporation, a leader in the heating, air conditioning and refrigeration industry.  I worked in the IT field for over 15 years prior to joining the business continuity/disaster recovery field in 2003.

Even though I have a couple of master’s degrees and professional certifications in business continuity and project management, I strongly believe that unlike other professions, learning in the BC/DR field is quite different  and requires constant sharing of ideas and knowledge between BC/DR professionals  with varied backgrounds from public and private institutions.

I have been fortunate to work and learn the basics from many different contingency professionals that I have met over the years at ACP chapter meetings, industry conferences and other vendor events.  I look forward to such exchange of ideas constantly and ACP Garden State Chapter meetings are a wonderful resource for networking and learning from a distinguished set of speakers.

I am a native of India and have lived in the USA since 1993. I became a US citizen in 2001 and it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I look forward to meeting you in one of the Garden state chapter meetings.
